- Windows 10+ or macOS 10.14+
- 4GB RAM minimum (8GB recommended)
- Intel Core i3 or equivalent
- Webcam (720p or higher)
- Microphone and speakers/headphones
Mobile/Tablet
- iOS 13+ or Android 8+
- 3GB RAM minimum
- Front-facing camera
- Built-in microphone
- Stable internet connection
Internet
- Minimum: 5 Mbps download/upload
- Recommended: 10+ Mbps
- Wired connection preferred
- Stable connection (no frequent drops)
Browser
- Chrome 90+ (recommended)
- Firefox 88+
- Safari 14+
- Edge 90+
- JavaScript enabled
1 Testing Your Setup
Before Your First Lesson:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Click "Test Audio/Video"
- Allow camera and microphone permissions
- Check if you can see yourself
- Speak and check if audio meter moves
- Test speakers by playing test sound
Pro Tip: Test your setup 30 minutes before your first lesson to resolve any issues in advance!
2 Camera Issues
Camera Not Working:
- Check Permissions: Allow camera access in browser settings
- Close Other Apps: Close Zoom, Skype, or other video apps
- Restart Browser: Close and reopen your browser
- Update Drivers: Update webcam drivers (Windows)
- Try Different Browser: Switch to Chrome if using another browser
Common Error: "Camera is being used by another application" - Close all video apps and restart browser.
3 Microphone Issues
Microphone Not Working:
- Check Permissions: Allow microphone access in browser
- Select Correct Device: Choose right microphone in settings
- Check Volume: Ensure microphone isn't muted
- Test in System: Test mic in Windows/Mac sound settings
- Restart Device: Restart computer if issue persists
Echo or Feedback:
- Use headphones instead of speakers
- Reduce speaker volume
- Move microphone away from speakers
- Ask other person to mute when not speaking
4 Audio Issues
Can't Hear Other Person:
- Check if speakers/headphones are connected
- Increase volume on device
- Check browser volume settings
- Ask other person to check their microphone
- Refresh the page
5 Video Quality Issues
Poor Video Quality:
- Check Internet Speed: Run speed test (speedtest.net)
- Close Other Apps: Close downloads, streaming, etc.
- Improve Lighting: Face a window or use desk lamp
- Reduce Background Activity: Pause uploads/downloads
- Lower Video Quality: Adjust in meeting settings
Video Quality Settings: Auto (default) | High (720p) | Medium (480p) | Low (360p)
6 Connection Issues
Frequent Disconnections:
- Switch to wired connection if possible
- Move closer to WiFi router
- Restart router/modem
- Close bandwidth-heavy applications
- Contact your ISP if problem persists
Minimum Speed Required: 5 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for smooth video calls.
7 Screen Sharing Issues
Can't Share Screen:
- Allow screen sharing permission in browser
- Select correct window/screen to share
- Close unnecessary windows before sharing
- Use Chrome for best screen sharing experience
8 Browser-Specific Issues
Chrome (Recommended):
- Clear cache and cookies
- Disable conflicting extensions
- Update to latest version
- Reset browser settings if needed
Safari:
- Enable camera/microphone in System Preferences
